A series of 5 plays written and
produced by the staff and youth of YOACAP that deal with issues affecting
youth and young adults, including drugs, alcohol, STD's, HIV, domestic
violence, and hustling. The plays include Wake Up the World, Represent,
Represent II, and our two new plays The Silent Killer and PlayStation

A new and exciting program in which
we offer fast and free testing. The testing program is a painless
no needles, no blood process where an oral specimen is taken to determine
a person's HIV status. YOACAP provides either confidential or anonymous
testing. Results are back within seven days.

A Place to Scream is a support group
for infected and affected women and girls. It allows a safe place
to discuss their fears, dreams, and stresses about life with and around
HIV. Scheduled meetings are every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month.

Male and female support groups are designed to assist participants innot becoming HIV positive. Support groups provide a confidential and safe environment to discuss issues such as personal hygiene, general health maintenance, goal planning, teenage pregnancy, building healthy relationships, substance abuse and surviving parental substance abuse. A special emphasis is placed on HIV education and risk-reduction methods. |

Safer sex kits include high quality
male and female condoms, instructions on how to use a condom, HIV
testing information.

Direct street outreach provides
health information in the forms of safer sex kits in neighborhood
coomunities such as strret corners, hair salons, nightclubs, and other
areas.
Outreach provides face to face contact with individuals seeking referrals for a variety of services including condoms, literature, HIV testing, STD screenings, etc... |

PCM's help people obtain knowledge
concerning their HIV status and either remaining negative or reducing/eliminating
transmission of the virus from individuals who are positive. Prevention
Case Managers help identify any behavior that might put the individual
at risk, i.e. high risk sex acts, drugs, alcohol, etc. The program
also assists indiividuals to develop and reach personal health goals.

Access Applied is a program designed
to aid students in applying for college. Counselors provide college
applications, financial aid and scholarship assistance, essay writing
assistance and test taking skills.

Interactive Workshops are for and
about youth and young adults. Age and culture appropriate workshops
offer youth and young adults a place to discuss issues affecting them
such as teen pregnancy, STD's HIV, drugs, alcohol, violence, etc.
