Since 1992 YO ACAP staff and youth have written and produced five plays. The dramas discuss issues affecting youth and young adults including drugs, alcohol, domestic violence and hustling. Staff and youth have volunteered countless hours to developing and producing these dramas. They not only are playwrights, but also compose rap lyrics and engineer the plays' soundtracks. YO ACAP also contracts with various organizations to develop skits. Staff and youth are not paid to perform, they volunteer their evenings and weekends to develop and rehearse the plays. The life situations, rap interludes and hip hop soundtracks have made YO ACAP the most popular youth outreach organization in the city.
